Hot Buttered Rum Recipe

Restaurant Drink Recipe

I "stole" this Hot Buttered Rum Mix Recipe from one of my sisters-in-law years ago. I tried one of hers when I was visiting one year at Christmas time.

This recipe was put into action at the restaurant and the guests agreed - it is delicious beyond belief.

This is a great recipe for a party at home because the beverage is good without adding any rum so it is ideal for non-alcohol drinkers, too.

The secret to making this recipe absolutely delicious for everyone is to buy quality ice cream, and for those that want rum, use a very good rum. I like to use Meyer 151 but a light rum will also work.

What is really nice about this beverage recipe is that you can make the mixture ahead, freeze it and then dip into it whenever company drops by during the holiday season.

All you have to do is boil some water and add some rum. YUM!

Thanks for sharing, sister Jackie! I bet you never thought you'd find your recipe online one day!
