Garlic Bread Recipe

Real Restaurant Recipe

Making delicious garlic bread is really easy. Here is a really good Garlic Bread Recipe you need.

Congratulations!  You now have a restaurant recipe that has been tested and approved for garlic bread.

It is a favorite restaurant bread recipe but is easy to make at home.

I make it at home frequently because my family and I love garlic bread with so many of the meals we eat.

I can't imagine making a pasta dish without also serving this garlic bread! My dear husband would NEVER complain, but I know he'd be disappointed.

Like me, my husband and other family members love garlic bread. And so do the restaurant guests. I go through "tons" of it every day.

Garlic Bread Recipe

Preparation time: 20 minutes. Serves 8-10.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of very good French Bread
  • 1/2 pound (two cubes) of butter
  • 4-8 cloves of fresh minced garlic (depending on how much garlic flavor you prefer - I use four medium size cloves per cube of butter)

Optional:  Fresh chopped parsley (I like this option)

I want you to do yourself and your family and friends a favor ( and a "flavor" ). Read the article on a garlic press. (This information may save you time AND improve your health and that of your family.) No garlic press? Okay, here is what you need to do:
  • Place the garlic cloves on a cutting board
  • Place the flat side of a large knife on the garlic cloves and hit the flat side of the knife with your hand. The garlic skin will fall off, allowing you to mince the fresh garlic. Just be careful!

  • Instructions:

    • Melt the butter over low heat (i.e., slowly)
    • While the butter is melting, peel the garlic cloves and mince
    • Add your minced garlic to the butter and leave on very low heat for about 3 minutes (do Not burn the garlic or butter)
    • Pour the butter/garlic mixture through a small sieve pushing on the garlic with a spoon to extract all the juice
    • Cut the French bread the long way through the middle of the loaf
    • Spoon or brush the garlic butter onto both sides (be generous) and put the loaf back together
    • Wrap the loaf in foil and heat in a 325 degree F oven until warmed all the way through

Oh! Now I'm hungry!  Good job!

This restaurant recipe for garlic bread is wonderful with a great many dishes, not just pastas. I love garlic bread with salad, as one example. In fact, try serving this garlic bread recipe with the grilled vegetable salad! You'll be glad you did! And remember to consider a garlic press.

Enjoy your real restaurant garlic bread recipe and the company of those you share it with!
