This Blueberry Sauce Recipe is really a fabulous addition for pancakes, French toast, cheesecake or Pound Cake.

Oh! Don’t forget to top your vanilla ice cream with this sauce!


Blueberry Sauce Recipe


Preparation Time: 30 minutes. Serves: 6


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tablespoons boiling water
  • 3 cups blueberries
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

 

Instructions:

  • Add sugar to boiling water and simmer 5 minutes
  • Add berries, simmer until heated through and blueberries begin to pop
  • Make paste of cornstarch and water
  • Add a small amount of hot berry mixture then stir into the berries
  • Simmer 10 minutes or until sauce becomes clear
  • Use immediately or store in refrigerator
