Salsa Recipe

Delicious Restaurant Roasted Salsa

A delicious restaurant Salsa Recipe to use with your favorite corn chips or nachos from Real Restaurant Recipes!

At the restaurant we also serve it on-the-side with chicken or a ground chuck patty topped with Cheddar cheese, a side of guacamole and a side of sour cream.

The salsa brings everything together for a real taste treat.

ENJOY your salsa!

Roasted Salsa
Restaurant Style Salsa

Preparation time: 30 minutes. Servings: 3-4 cups depending on the size of the tomatoes.

Cooking Conversion Table

Ingredients:

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1-2 jalapenos (depending on how much “heat” you like)
  • 3 cloves of garlic

    Instructions for above ingredients:

  • Bake all the above in a 350 degree F oven

Ingredients for rest of restaurant salsa:
    Combine the following ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons finely diced red onions
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

    Remaining Instructions to Combine:

  • Remove the seeds from the roasted jalapeno(s)
  • Squeeze excess juice from the roasted tomatoes and process in a food processor with the jalapeno(s) and garlic (I recommend using latex gloves when handling jalapenos and not touching your face while working with them)
  • Combine with the onion mixture
  • Correct salt, if needed

The restaurant salsa can also be used in certain soups and sauces!

Some of the restaurant guests have asked that we make this salsa "to go." The restaurant simply does not have the capacity to do this and still prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

What I do is suggest they check at their grocery store for quality salsas and also online.

In the meantime, enjoy your salsa recipe and the company of those you share it with!
